Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

Hooksight (the "Service") is operated by Beecom Inc. (주식회사 비컴), a company registered in the Republic of Korea (Business Registration Number 571-81-02187) ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hooksight is an AI-powered analytics tool that extracts transcripts, captions, and metadata from publicly available short-form video content and provides insights for content creators and marketers. The Service provides:

Hooksight is a read-only analytics tool. It does not post, schedule, or automate any social media activity, and it does not generate or inflate engagement metrics.

3. Supported Platforms

The Service supports extracting content from publicly accessible short-form video URLs including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels, and other public video platforms. Video retrieval is performed through authenticated third-party services (Bright Data). The Service does not require your platform credentials and does not access content that is not publicly accessible. Platform availability may change without notice due to third-party platform policy changes.

You must provide accurate registration information, are responsible for the security of your account credentials, must be at least 18 years old, and may not create multiple free accounts to bypass usage limits.

7. Third-Party Platform Access

Video retrieval from YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram is performed through Bright Data, an authenticated third-party service that operates under its own platform agreements. The Service does not ask for, use, or store your credentials for any platform; only the submitted URL is sent. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and any other third-party platform you access through the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to any third-party platform.

9. DMCA and Copyright Claims

9.1 Takedown Notice

If you believe content extracted through our Service infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to support@hooksight.com including (a) your physical or electronic signature, (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, (c) the specific URL or location of the allegedly infringing material, (d) your contact information (address, phone, email), (e) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, and (f) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized agent. We will respond within 5 business days.

9.2 Counter-Notification

If you believe your material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notification to the same address. A valid counter-notification must include (a) your signature, (b) identification of the removed material and its prior location, (c) a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, (d) your name, address, and phone number, and (e) consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., the Northern District of California), and acceptance of service of process from the original complainant. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order.

9.3 Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. §512(i), we will terminate the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers. We define a "repeat infringer" as any user who is the subject of two or more valid takedown notices within a rolling 12-month period. Account terminations under this policy are not eligible for refund.

10. Service Availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, response time, or availability, and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

11. Payment Processing

All payments for Hooksight are processed by Paddle.com Inc. ("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle — not Beecom Inc. — is the authorized reseller of Hooksight subscriptions and is the direct party to your payment transaction. Paddle is the first-line party responsible for processing payment information, calculating and remitting applicable taxes, handling refunds, and resolving payment disputes.

Your card or bank statement will show the charge as PADDLE.NET* HOOKSIGHT. By purchasing a paid plan, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance; prices may change with 30 days' advance notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

13. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the "Manage Subscription" area of your dashboard, or by emailing support@hooksight.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain Pro access until then. There is no proration for unused portions of a billing period.

Refunds. You may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. This window also covers the statutory right of withdrawal under the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래법). After 14 days, monthly subscription payments are non-refundable. Full details and instructions are in our Refund Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service interface at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Support SLA: We commit to a first response within 24 hours for inquiries submitted to support@hooksight.com. Korean-language requests follow the statutory 10 business-day response window under PIPA §38 (see Privacy Policy §7).
